HomeAid Northern California History

What Is HomeAid Northern California

HomeAid builds and renovates multi-shelter units for homeless families and individuals so they can rebuild their lives. As the charity arm of the building industry, HomeAid’s work is made possible through the generosity of homebuilders, their trade partners, financial institutions, and you. HomeAid’s primary focus is on the women, children, veterans and families who experience a life-altering event and are rendered temporarily homeless due to circumstances beyond their control.

HomeAid Northern California is dedicated to the fight to end homelessness. It starts at the core to address where women, children and families can go when they find themselves without a home. HomeAid provides an opportunity to find shelter and start rebuilding lives to once again gain self-sufficiency. We are committed to helping make a difference for homeless families and individuals through advocacy, building and renovating shelters, and providing support services.

We work with the Bay Area chapter of the Building Industry Association and select local homeless service agencies determined by specific needs -- domestic violence survivors, disabled veterans, or homeless individuals and families who and require housing assistance.

HomeAid Northern California is one of 19 local Affiliates across 13 states.

HomeAid is a leading nonprofit developer of housing and programmatic facilities for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
